Be smart

Please be smart while selecting the company you choose. Today I went on an estimate and was questioned why I had 70 more square feet calculated than another Pasco company. I had to show the customer online reviews of the other company and the 17 Better Business Bureau complaints filed against them. Several mention the fact they were quoted a price, signed a contract and were charged more after they realized the square footage was to low on the estimate.

Many of us in the field have run into this same problem with this same company for many years. They quote a low estimate based on to low of square footage and in their contract it says they only provide the square footage quoted and tell the customer it will cost them more to complete the job.

Anyone can make a mistake while doing an estimate but this company has done it over and over. Please goggle the company that you are getting an estimate from and check the complaints on the BBB website for complaints. If you notice a pattern or high number of complaints be smart. When you are asked to sign a contact make sure a maximum amount is set that they can charge you. This should not be more than 10% of the estimated fee and the contract should be for a completed job.
